This poem had me rolling.

Butt Prints In The Sand.

One night I had a wondrous dream,
A set of footprints on the sand was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.

But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, “What have we here?”
Those prints are large and round and neat,
“But Lord they are much too big for feet.”

“My child,” He said in somber tones,
“For miles I’ve carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused to accept my grace.”

“You chose to whine, complain and moan,
You never acknowledged me, you said you were alone
Your attitude stunk, your ears were shut
so there I dropped you on your butt.”

“Because in life, there comes a time,
when one must fight, and one must climb.
When one must rise and take a stand,
or leave their butt prints in the sand.”

I have no idea who wrote this but it’s hilarious.  It also pushes the truth of our responsibility to the forefront.

If God has given you a WORD He is not obligated to make a WAY. That’s your responsibility

Isaiah 40:31 says, ” THEY that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  It doesn’t say, “God will mount you up with wings like eagles”, it says “YOU SHALL MOUNT UP”. It doesn’t say, “God will carry you”, it says, “YOU WILL RUN AND YOU WILL WALK.

When you have a promise, you have to pursue it!
• If you’ve got a promise walk towards it, don’t wait for it to come to you.
• Mary and Joseph didn’t even have a room in which to birth the Messiah. One would think that God could provide a stretch limo and a room at the Ritz, after all, it’s only the savior of the world we’re talking about. In case you missed it, they had to WALK TO Bethlehem and beg for a place to stay.
• If God didn’t provide a room for His own son, you may want to get busy pursuing the promise He gave you and stop whining about the work involved.

The problem is we want a harvest but God deals in seeds.
A seed never looks like enough until you add hard work, some water and some waiting.   Keep working while you wait, your destiny depends on it.
